Queensland Building Plan
The Queensland Government is calling on people to have their say on the Queensland Building Plan, which looks at a number of potential reforms designed to bring increased confidence and growth to the State’s $44 billion building and construction sector.
The 10 key areas of discussion include a review of licencing and plumbing and drainage laws, the potential for a single state housing code, the operation of the Home Warranty Scheme, and security of payment for subcontractors.
There are 10 key areas that are currently being reviewed. Not all area’s are relevant to the Painting & Decorating industry. Master Painters Queensland has identified what the Painting & Decorating industry needs to focus on:
- Queensland Home Warranty Scheme
- Security of Payment
- Licensing Reforms
- Non-Conforming Products
This is your chance to share your ideas about what is working, what isn’t working and what needs to be improved for the future of our building and construction industry.
