Whilst we can offer advice and recommend a course of action to our members, non members and the general public we have no power to force anyone to follow our directions.

Complaints

A complaint against a member of Master Painters Queensland must be forwarded in writing to our Head Office and this letter is tabled before the full Council of Master Painters Queensland. The Council will seek a response from the member and after consideration of the issues will decide a course of action. Queensland Building Services Authority

The BSA is a government body set up to license contractors and protect consumers against defective work. The BSA has the power to direct a contractor to rectify defects and can prosecute, fine and/or remove a contractors license banning the contractor from the building industry for a set period or for life. The law and enforcement of contractors in the painting and decorating industry in Queensland rests with the BSA not the Master Painters Association. The Association works closely and strongly supports the role of the BSA in Queensland.
